My name is Stephanie, and I am passionate about academics. I recently graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a 4.0 GPA and with a double major in mathematics and economics. I am pursuing a PhD at the University of Maryland-College Park in the Fall through the University's Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computing Program. I have extensive collegiate tutoring experience through my work as a Mathematics Learning Center Tutor (where I tutored calculus and other subjects) and my experience as a Teaching Assistant for Real Analysis, Intermediate Microeconomics, and Business Statistics. I graduated from high school as the Valedictorian of my class, achieved 5s on all of my AP exams (I took six exams in total), and obtained a 2260 on my SATs (Math: 770, CR: 710, and Writing: 780). I love to tutor and was very active in my high school years with after-school math tutoring in Algebra 1 and 2 and even summer school tutoring in Algebra 1 (during the summer before my senior year of HS). I tutored a student before my freshman year of college and helped the student pass the August Algebra 1 Regents by several points. During the summer before my sophomore year of college, I tutored a student in high school Geometry and helped two students on the Math portion of the SAT. I received five star reviews from both of these SAT clients. I truly believe in the idea of explaining concepts to students, and I welcome questions of all sorts. When I have a tutoring job, I make sure to prepare outside of sessions, so that I can better help students. I enjoy reading and watching Netflix. I also have been into artistic endeavors in the past, so I'm hoping to rekindle that during this summer. Finally, I do enjoy running and plan to try to get back into that this summer.
